Brass Finish Reproduction Cash Register Top Sign

Embossed brass cash register top sign, believed to be a reproduction.

Top signs were a common addition to early cash registers. In addition to general messages like the one here, businesses could also purchase personalized signs as well that would have said the owners name, business name, or another generic retail-focused saying. This sign features an embossed scroll and leaf motif with a central peacock-type embellishment adorning the top.

Exhibits minor signs of wear including chipped/faded brass finish and some patination.
